The First State Bank Chooses Catch21's Checknology Processing System

Description: Catch21, inc. announces additional growth in Oklahoma with new image processing partner.

Norman, OK, April 19, 2010 – Oklahoma based Catch21, Inc., a national provider of outsourced check image processing services announced today that The First State Bank of Oklahoma City has entered into a 5 year agreement and was converted to the Catch21 Checknology image processing platform on March 22nd, 2010. This seamless transition from conventional check processing to leading edge branch capture processing was the second conversion for the Catch21 platform in March 2010.

“The solution provided to The First State Bank allows us to efficiently capture and process our items at the branch, rather than courier them to a central location for processing,” said Chris Turner, President and CFO of The First State Bank. “Like Catch21, The First State Bank is keenly focused on technologies that will provide our customers benefits like later cutoff times and more opportunity for same day credit,” Turner went on to say.

“Like many institutions, The First State Bank was faced with the closing of their centralized paper processing facility,” said Kelly Ingram, President of Catch21, Inc. “Rather than accept the default solution provided by the legacy provider, The First State Bank chose to carefully evaluate their options and found a solution that was right for their needs, and one that could be implemented on the client’s schedule rather than a vendor direction.”

The First State Bank opened its Oklahoma City branch at 3030 Northwest Expressway in February 2010 under the direction of Chairman and CEO David Durrett and President and CFO, Chris Turner. Originally known as The First State Bank of Canute, it began operation in 1902 and is Oklahoma's first and oldest chartered bank. The Canute branch of the bank is still in full operation and a second branch opened in Midwest City in 2003. The First State Bank is considered a state icon of financial stability with over 108 years of service to Oklahomans and Oklahoma businesses.
